Who Are We?
We are a local group training studio focused on building functional strength and improving body composition (in simple terms— less fat & more muscle) located in the Salt Lake/East Millcreek area. We believe that pushing yourself to improve from whatever point you are starting from can truly transform your life. We believe that prioritizing your health and fitness, and being surrounded by a group of supportive, like-minded individuals, will allow all of your other goals to fall into place!
What Makes Us Unique?
There are four important distinctions between 212 and most other gyms:
- We focus on improving people’s performance outside the gym rather than making each workout a competition you’re determined to win.
- We never sacrifice safety for progress.
- We assess each person individually and personalize their exercises to safely and effectively maximize their progress and prevent injury.
- We scientifically periodize and progress the workouts for optimal results.

We once read a book about the boiling point of water, and it struck a chord with us. We realized it represented the core of everything we believe in, and we wanted to share that idea with our community. The concept is this: At 211 degrees water is just hot, but at 212 degrees it boils. At 211 degrees water is just a liquid, but at 212 degrees, water turns to steam, which can do things as impressive as spin a turbine and generate power. The importance of just that one degree is huge!
Our Training Philosophy:
Whether you are 25, 95, or somewhere in between, we want to assist you in living the best possible version of your life as soon as possible! Our training is based upon giving our clients the strength and conditioning necessary to live life on their terms. One extra degree of effort makes all the difference in your workout, and ultimately, your body.
